The real reason behind setting this service up is this, many parishes don't have web sites, for whatever reason. The internet has been around for over 15 years, we believe that each parish should have a web site. There is so much talk about communication and miscommunication, people are bombarded by news on TV or radio. There are billions or trillions of websites on the net. What will assure they will visit your site. We believe that's not what the parish site is for, that some random person will visit it, the parish sites that are hosted and designed by rcxp.ca are to store particular information for the parish and parish members.
Websites are visible all over the world, so obviously people from around the world will see them. In the experience of parish site design and hosting, we heard often, how great it is that my grand children could see the parish photo album from last Sunday branch, they could see me. Or: 'When I was in Europe I regularly checked the parish site to see the bulletin, I know I wasn't attending this parish, but often I could see my family members in the galleries, it kept me closer to home."
